One Pot Pantry with Danny Amend

Every so often our resident chef and Wally Farms hydroponic container project manager, Danny Amend, whips up a locally sourced meal in one pot in one hour. An ongoing program we like to call One Pot Pantry. A version of this program has been to Waterfront Wednesdays along the Hudson River in his natural habitat, cooking and offering thoughtfully sourced well-made meals. Danny has been a chef for over 20 years in NY City for a beloved Italian Restaurant group where he learned the importance of working closely with farms to make a meal.

This One Pot Pantry meal was centered around healthy and heartwarming winter comfort food. He developed an online recipe to introduce a cook-along format to this program. The recipe can be found here through a friends of Dannys new recipe app (shout out getmeez.com) and the livestream can be accessed here on our Instagram. With pork chops coming from Kinderhook Farm, and kale and other greens sourced from MX Morningstar, the meal came perfectly together.

This is a series we will continue to offer all of our food lovers out there! We see you, we love you, and can’t wait to cook with you in person soon. Fingers crossed!
